i have seen many beautiful things in my life. if you would have talked to me a year ago I would have had nothing good to say about los angeles; it was an ugly, dirty and disgusting place to me. but since i moved back, i’ve begun to find the beauty that is hidden along these city streets. this flower sits right outside my house, and a close inspection of it shows that there is wonder and splendor in any part of the world as long as you look hard enough for it.
